SEVHAGE, in partnership with Konya Shamsrumi, Arewa Poetry Review, African & Black Creatives for Development (ABC4DE) are proud to announce A Fire Kept Quiet, a landmark anthology from the Arewa Poetry Review that mostly gathers a rising generation of poets in Northern Nigeria whose works speak with courage, tenderness and craft. The collection, edited by Adulrazaq Salihu, with a foreword by S. Su’eddie Vershima Agema and Oko Owoicho, explores various themes foregrounding resilience as a shared undertone. Several contributions bend form and image, from weather and dust to mathematics and science, while keeping humanity at the centre.
